The day before, the first red carpet of the annual film festival took place in Cannes, France, which many film legends attended. Each of them wore restrained outfits, less extravagant than those we are used to see at the Met Gala, but still elegant enough for such an important event.

One of the best film actresses of our time, 74-year-old Meryl Streep, received the Palme d'Or for her contribution to world cinema on the very first day and showed two luxurious looks. In a loose white evening dress, the actress accepted the award, and for the photo shoot she appeared in the now popular old money style, tucking a striped shirt into white trousers and complementing the look with a hat and glasses.
Eva Green
Eva Green, a 43-year-old actress and model, tried on the look of a lady in black, revealing her graceful shoulders in a skirt and blouse costume. Black curls and stilettos made the outfit complete.
